As compared to dry and oily skin, normal skin requires less maintenance. However skin care is essential for every type of skin. So the people having normal skin must not be careless about their skin. Basic safety precautions are the same for all skins, but following should be kept in mind to maintain healthy skin.
Washing the face
Wash your face at least twice a day with normal water and always use quality soap in order to avoid chemical reactions on the skin causing irritation, dryness, pimples or other skin manifestations.
Use of Skin Cleansers
As you know that normal skin needs less cleansing therapy as compared to oily skin; it is advisable to use gentle cleansers rather strong ones which may cause irritation of the skin, rashes or pimples
Use of Skin Toners
Skin toners are commonly not required by normal skin but these may be used for refreshing purpose only. But one thing should be kept in mind that you should avoid toners with alcohol.
Use of Skin Moisturizers
Skin moisturizers should be used as they help to maintain proper hydration. If it contains sun- block at least SPF 15, it will be considered an excellent moisturizer for normal skin.
Use of Facial Skin Masks
In order to prevent environmental effects and pollution damages facial mask preferably hydrating and purifying masks should be used once a week.
Skin Exfoliations
For normal skin exfoliation once a week is sufficient to remove dead skin cells and grime.
Water intake
Drink plenty of water repeatedly daily which is necessary to keep the body and skin hydrated and to prevent from dryness of skin. Profuse perspiration and urination purifies the blood reduce blood thickening and brings out unhealthy substances from the body. Also helps to regulate hypertension.
Healthy Diet
Nothing can be compared with healthy diet as its substitutes. Most of the skin diseases are contributed to faulty diet and unhealthy lifestyles. Balanced diet is the first requirement to provide important vitamins needed by the skin and body. Over use of sugar, salt, peppers, condiments, meat and irritating edibles may cause skin problems in spite of other complaints.
