During winter some of we experience dry skin especially in dry climate, but some people suffer the same through out the year. Dry skin is identified by a fine texture having very small pores. In young age dry skin looks lovely, but with the passage of time it needs more care and often it gets wrinkled if not treated and took care properly.
An expression is not given that the care of dry skin is totally difficult or impossible, but just trying to convey the facts that it needs more care as compared to normal skin. Although dry skin requires some additional care to maintain healthy look. Here are given some skin care tips for dry skin to handle it normally:-

Basic skin care Tips

It includes face washing two time daily; once early in the morning and secondly while going to bed. Avoid use of soap in order to prevent dryness. Cleanser should not be so strong; use very gentle cleanser especially formulated for dry skin. While washing the face or taking a bath, always avoid using very hot water, it also causes dryness of skin.

Selection of Toner

Dry skin care also includes the proper use of toner. Alcoholic toners are not suitable for dry skin as it may irritate the dry skin and cause more dryness; so it should be avoided to use.

Moisturizer

For dry skin rich moisturizer is its basic requirement to keep it hydrated. With seasonal change you should change your moisturizer as your skin needs richer moisturizer during winter as compared to summer season.

Exfoliating Therapy

It is useful to promote healthy new skin cells generation by removing the dead cells. It is necessary for glowing skin as it provides a chance to breathe your skin. One care should be taken that its frequent use should be avoided in order to prevent skin irritation; once in a week is sufficient repetition for dry skin. Always try to select gentle exfoliant and after use apply moisturizer or moisturizing mask on the skin in order to prevent skin dryness

Water Intake

Needless to emphasis on drinking plenty of water daily, always keeps your skin hydrated and naturally moisturized. Good water intake not only have positive effects on skin but also it prevents gastrointestinal diseases like indigestion, constipation and dryness of the intestines also helps controlling high blood pressure and blood thickness.

Balanced Diet

No body can deny the importance of balanced diet who knows how to remain healthy. Take healthy diet with plenty of fresh foods; especially eat such foods, rich in Omega-3 like salmon and flax seeds, also helpful in improving your skin.
